HART is Part of Recovery
This year, the U.S. Congress passed and President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), designed to provide funding for capital investment projects around the country.
HART was granted a total of $15.1 million, which will be used for various capital purchases and construction projects that will help improve our system and provide investment in the local economy. Some of the federal stimulus funds will be used to augment operation of paratransit service for FY 2009, enabling HART to minimize service cuts due to anticipated reduction in ad valorem funding.
